About Entrepreneurship and Production

If we want to enter the top 10 economies of the world and be permanent there, we have to produce and export.

When we look at the top 10 economies of the world, we can see that the producing countries are on this list without any exception. Production is a sensitive issue not only economically but also strategically. The wars in the world are now being held with entirely economic weapons, and therefore in the future the countries that hold the power of production will always have balance and power. 

We have to produce, but there is a different perception in our country which is letting someone to produce, invest, and then we expect our country to grow. This obligation should be the primary requirement of the whole country, not just a few entrepreneurs and investors.

Each individual should ask himself/herself questions such as what is economy, what is entrepreneurship, how can we have a voice in the world's economy. Only with this way, when we start to question ourselves, we can feel the phenomenon of production and create an economy that will produce and export as a country.

Our Focus Should Be Production

Producing in a community that is not focused on production is the most difficult job. It is like working in a holiday destination where everyone goes for relaxing and fun. But if somebody doesn't work, think about what that holiday destination will look like. We can count many things like no service in restaurants, no garbage collections. In the end, it will no longer be a holiday destination, but a ghost town that no one would want to be. Also, consider that those who come to that holiday destination can give an advice to the employees such as why are you working, you should take a holiday. It will be all at sea.

This is the case across the country. Production is a difficult, risky and tedious road. But if we cannot produce, the situation of our country will turn into a holiday destination that nobody wants to be. You don't need to be an economist to make this determination.

In addition, the biggest obstacle in the production is the idea of accessing everything so easily and getting rich in a short time, this thought is becoming widespread; instruments like stock market, gold, foreign exchange has become increasingly attractive to add money to money in this environment. Since 1st of January 2020, the increase in the number of investors in Borsa Istanbul is 65,000. Considering that each investor makes an average of 50,000 TL deposits in Borsa Istanbul, the total investment in this short period of time is 3.25 billion TL.  Also, foreign investors are at the lowest level with 51%. We experienced this scene years ago; losses at the fluctuation in a stock market, sadness, and family dramas will happen. Does it contribute to production? It will not have any contribution and will have great damages. Those who earn money will say “Why should I try to earn money while I am earning so good?” Those who have lost will approach much more perturbed to the initiatives now on. 

We Should Evaluate Our Entrepreneurship Potential

However, many of our brilliant youth seek support for their ideas. Especially for young entrepreneurs, there are special young entrepreneur supports for them. Sometimes an idea that starts with a support of 100,000 TL provided by these platforms can reach billion TL. At this point, there are government supports, but on the basis of production consciousness, the government only provides convenience, not financing. We have an approach that expects everything from the government which is the opposite approach of production consciousness. In order to increase our economic activities in this scope, we must be aware of the free market economy and primarily fulfill our duties in the field of entrepreneurship.

Bear this in mind; Turkey is a country that has very high potentials. We have a human profile which has practical intelligence, creativity and innovativeness. But can we really appreciate it? No way. When we look at what we can do and see what we cannot, we really get upset.

What should we do? First of all, we should adopt the social awareness of production. Production starts with strategy and idea. We need to teach everyone that production is not always about producing cars and refrigerators; instead it’s something that anyone can do. You may have heard successful stories where the housewife becomes a brand by producing and selling chocolate, cake, and so on. I have never seen any other country where so many thinkers came together. But unfortunately so many ideas disappear because of the lack of this point of view. One day, when the same idea comes to life in another country, you will surely hear a Turk saying that I thought it first.

My Entrepreneurial Adventure

One day I felt two emotions so intensely that my inevitable entrepreneurship adventure started. Every idea that comes to my mind will not be just an idea, I will make it real and we do not have to buy everything from abroad, we can produce it too and sell it to them. The entrepreneurial adventure in the world of "Internet of Things", which I started with these feelings, has reached different points today. But I never give up from these two feelings.

These two feelings outweighed in my first “Hello” in the blog and started writing for the day when I will say “Hello to productive Turkey". This is not a responsibility and duty for us, but it is for our children and grandchildren. We must raise generations who will wake up every morning and start their day with this motivation "What can I produce for this country today?"

Numbers, statistics, negativities, disappointments ... None of them is an impediment for the dream, on one condition: We will believe and work!
