HF RFID, is one of the wireless identification technologies working in passive mode. Generally, systems working in 13.56 Mhz frequency is available in this technology. In HF RFID, there exists system empowering standards like ISO 15693, ISO 14443 and ISO 18000-3. So, there is no unique standard to govern the whole technology. HF RFID systems operate via induction by the RF field emitted by the HF RFID readers. Thanks to their near field range and large memory capabilities, HF Passive Tags are generally used in applications having access control, payment and loyalty tracking scenarios. With the widespread of NFC technology, nowadays even mobile smart phones conforms and maintains features of HF RFID technology.
